CSIR NET Earth Science: Grab Complete Details

CSIR NET is an exam which is conducted by the National Testing Agency on behalf of Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) on bi-yearly basis to examine the ability of Science stream’s aspirants required to become Lecturers/professors/ associates/ research fellows at India’s reputed universities.


# Eligibility Criteria for CSIR NET Earth Science

Candidates must have completed M.Sc./BS-MS/BS-4 Years/B-Pharma or any equivalent degree in the field of Earth Science to apply for the CSIR NET exam in Earth Science.


1. Educational Qualifications


  • General/OBC category aspirants should have masters with minimum 55% aggregate marks.
  • SC/ST/PwD/Female applicants get the relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks to apply for the exam.
 
2. Age Criteria


  • For CSIR NET JRF General candidates' age not must not exceed 28 years. 
  • OBC candidates get the relaxation of 3 years.
  • Up to 5 years age relaxation is provided to the SC/ST/PwD category aspirant.
  • No upper age limit decided for the candidates of CSIR NET Assistant Professor.
 


# CSIR NET Earth Science Exam Pattern

CSIR NET exam has three parts i.e. Part A, Part B and Part C.


  • Part A is common for all subjects.
  • Part B has subject based MCQs type questions with less difficulty level.
  • Part C has subject based MSQs (Multiple Select Questions) type questions with the higher difficulty level.
