1.      Staff Selection Commission (SSC)


The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is an organization under the Government of India to recruit staff for various positions in the different government ministries, departments of India and subordinate offices.

This commission is an attached office of the Personnel and Training Department (DoPT) consisting of Chairman, two Members and a Secretary-Cum-Controller of Examinations. His position is equivalent to India's government's level of Additional Secretary.

Currently, SSC functions as an autonomous body that mainly conducts competitive examinations for recruitment to different positions in departments, organizations of the SSC.

2.      Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)


Railway Recruitment Control Board is an Indian government agency. It was established in 1998 at the Railway Board (Ministry of Railways), New Delhi.

Objectives of RRB


·        Policy formulation regarding recruitment procedures.
·        Monitor all Railway Recruitment Boards (RRBs) activities including recruitment expenditure.

3.      Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS)


The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) is a recruitment body initiated with the objective of encouraging the recruitment and placement of young graduates in public sector banks in India, other than the State Bank of India. It also provides organizations with standardized systems for evaluation and result processing services.

IBPS is governed by a board of directors comprising nominees from government bodies such as Reserve Bank of India, Ministry of Finance of India, Indian Institute of Technology Mumbai, Indian Institute of Banking and Finance, National Institute of Bank Management, Indian Banks Association and Public Sector Banks.


IBPS conducts computer-based examination for various posts. Some are as follows –

4.      Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)


The Union Public Service Commission is India's leading central recruiting agency. It is responsible for appointments and reviews for All India Services and Central Services Group A & Group B. While the Personnel and Training Department is India's central staff agency.

The agency's charter is granted by the part XIV of the Constitution of India, entitled Services Under the Union and States.

It carries out merit-based selection and recommendation of candidates, through various examinations, to Group A and Group B Services of the Government of India. This branch carries out Direct Recruitment (out of the 3 possible mechanisms of: 'direct recruitment', 'recruitment by promotion' and 'recruitment by transfer and permanent absorption') by selection to all Groups. Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) is the premier commission of the government of Rajasthan, for organizing recruitment exams, procedures for recruiting employees, officers to various departments of the government. This includes the recruitment of Clerical cadre (Now handed over to RSMSSB) in minimum and the recruitment in Rajasthan Administrative Service (R.A.S) & Rajasthan Police Service (R.P.S) in maximum extent.
